04 / What the audit must prove
Can the supplier produce the order, and how does it control quality?
A factory audit answers two separate questions. Capacity is about the site, machines, workforce, process, and realistic output. Quality management is about incoming-material checks, dedicated QC staff, in-process controls, final checks, records, and whether the system is actually used.
Before the visit
- 01Confirm the equipment and process needed for the buyer's product are present
- 02Check whether stated capacity is consistent with machines, staffing, and current activity
- 03Review incoming-material, in-process, and final QC records
- 04Look for dedicated QC responsibility rather than workers checking only their own output

06 / FAQ
Frequently asked questions
01Is a factory audit only for new suppliers?
No. It is also useful before scaling volumes or when supplier performance needs a fresh operational review.
02Do you assess quality systems and capacity?
Yes. We review visible quality control processes, production organization, and basic indicators of capability and readiness.
03Is working with a trading company always a problem?
No. A transparent trading company can simplify sourcing. The risk is a trader presenting itself as the manufacturer, because the buyer may misunderstand who controls production, equipment, subcontracting, quality, and corrective action.
